I will be hosting a drawing workshop in Denilliquin on Saturday 17th of May. Suitable for all experience levels.

We will look at various ways you can work in pencil and charcoal and their varieties, types of paper, plus tips & tricks for observational sketching in these mediums.

Sedgwick Trees - Charcoal & Chalk on Paper

This workshop I will share my experience and techniques working with charcoal, pencils and chalk in a range of ways. We look at types of charcoal, chalk, pencils & drawing surfaces. Along with guided steps to drawing from observation.

·        Different types of charcoal and how to use them best

·        Best surfaces for drawing

·        Creative ways to work with charcoal, pencils and conte pastel

·        Basic methods for drawing accurate proportions

·        How to plan your drawing: composition, outlines, and tones

·        Using an eraser as a drawing tool

·        Adding highlights to your artwork

·        Drawing on toned or colored paper and highlights with white chalk and pencils
